  • In 2014 I was commissioned by a cybersecurity startup to write and direct a cartoon poking fun at the NSA, and showing that their product could guard against the NSA's spying. After that, they wanted some ads for some new products. They loved "The General" from the first cartoon, and wanted him to star in the new ads. I don't exactly remember how or why, but over the next year or so, The General appeared in increasingly bizarre scenarios, and what started as a satire of the NSA slowly devolved into an insane world of aliens, Putin, and even, I think, a secret love affair with Ronald Reagan? Truly off the rails!
