  • "A Men's Room Monologue" was a cartoon I threw together for a homework assignment for one of my freshman classes. I had barely learned how to wrangle animation software and definitely didn't know how to record good sound. Nonetheless, this cartoon went viral, attracting millions of viewers across 2005's pre-YouTube wild west of an internet. It's strange that to this day one of my most-watched online videos is so crude and outdated, but I am forever grateful to this little Flash toon. After I released it, I got lots of gig offers, including one from National Lampoon to write a sequel called "Smell Check," and I was able to start freelancing during college, making some extra cash and jumpstarting my career as an independent animator.
